No Interruptions, No Downtime

shutterstock_Generic data center_1441097McKenney’s installed multiple replacement air cooling units at a large Atlanta data center that remained operational during the course of the project.

The Challenge

McKenney’s had to install one new air cooling unit per day at a data center that handles global accounts and has no tolerance for downtime. Detailed provisions were necessary to shut down and remove old units—and install new ones—without disrupting cooling in the massive server room.

Digging In for a Long-Term Solution

Digging-In-for-a-Long-Term-SolutionMcKenney’s repaired an underground water leak at a commercial office building in Alpharetta, Georgia.

The Challenge

The McKenney’s service team needed to determine the source of a leak that was causing low water pressure on a cooling tower closed loop condenser system. “A” for Effort and Expertise

A-for-Effort-and-ExpertiseMcKenney’s installed mechanical systems for the conversion of a former office building into the North Atlanta High School.

The Challenge

The 11-story building was being adapted by Atlanta Public Schools into a modern high school. Site limitations meant materials had to be loaded through the existing facade and each floor had an abundance of ductwork. Structural conditions made navigating the floor layout using Trimble GPS technologies difficult. Also, the central energy plant could not accommodate all of the equipment needed for the space.

A Greener Hospital by Design

Navigating-Safety-ObstaclesMcKenney’s is building a wide range of energy-efficient mechanical systems using green practices for the 325,000-square-foot medical center in Braselton.

The Challenge

Integrating multiple systems seamlessly into a new facility can be complex and challenging. To accomplish this, McKenney’s assisted the design team by providing cost-effective mechanical system options while also helping the center pursue LEED® for Healthcare Gold certification and meet LEAN construction requirements.
